This attractive Victorian house was in need of complete refurbishment. Our clients wanted to extend the property sympathetically and at the same time incorporate modern technology and sustainable solutions.
Initial works included re-tiling the entire roof and the incorporation of modern insulation materials. Rainwater goods were refurbished or replaced, new double glazed sash windows were installed to match the original period design and internal shutters were renovated.
Second phase works included a large kitchen/family room extension with a fully glazed dining area and additional bedroom accommodation on each of two floors above. All heating, plumbing and electrical services were replaced and solar thermal domestic water heating was provided along with underfloor heating.
Subsequent commissions for the same client included the provision of an enclosed outdoor pool and party pavilion, together with a building which was to appear as a pre-existing barn and house a collection of cars.
