RPA Architects were commissioned to design a high quality contemporary dwelling to replace a dilapidated 1950’s bungalow, maximising the development potential of its riverside plot. Planning permission was secured for a substantial property of more than 450m2 in addition to a new mooring and jetty.
Sunken semi-basement rooms gain light via a large terrace area which adjoins a glass-sided pool whilst the raised living space maximises views out to the river.
The master bedroom also benefits from views across the River Thames due to its private elevated position, and large open plan living is complemented by more intimate spaces which include an enclosed snug and dining pavilion.
