This property in rural Hampshire is steeped in history. To one end is the original Tudor farmhouse and further accommodation included a series of barns and a disused indoor swimming pool.

Our brief was to modernise, adapt and extend the various buildings which existed in order to create a coherent design solution. The result is a substantial home which includes a number of exciting features as well as extensive equestrian facilities.

The swimming pool hall has being converted to provide a spacious kitchen, relaxation and dining area with direct access to terraces and a plunge pool. As a practice we like wherever possible to undertake hard landscape design in order to fully integrate our building designs with adjacent external spaces.

The next phase of works will include a contemporary ‘link’ element which will provide the interface between historic elements and afford magnificent views from the new master suite over the adjoining Stratfield Saye Park and Estate.
