RPA Architects are proud to have been appointed to design and oversee the construction of the headquarters reception facility for Volkswagen Group UK Ltd.
The brief was to create an outstanding and inviting environment which would provide an unparalleled visitor experience whilst reflecting the company’s core values and providing display areas for both current and heritage vehicles in a brand-neutral environment.
A bespoke reception desk was located centrally and the large fully glazed space was fitted with low energy lighting solutions. A smart Building Energy Management System controls environmental conditions and the interior is protected from thermal gain by automated translucent blinds.
A curved art wall was commissioned, a purpose made refreshment zone was installed with iPad based drink ordering and carefully selected finishes and furniture were specified throughout.
