Opportunities like this only come up every so often and we were exciterd to be appointed to extend and reconfigure this unique property. Built in 1960 the original house had been extended and altered since, but the roof structure and clerestory glazing to what was once a music room remained a distinctive feature and was key to our approach.

Our clients wanted to create a new entrance and construct a large kitchen /family space whilst improving the 'back-of-house' areas every home needs. Our solution was to propose a new and slightly smaller pyramidal structure, connected to existing living areas by a fully glazed link. Internal changes of level will add interest the minute you enter the property from its concealed courtyard entrance - the house is one where each step brings a new vista. With planning permission and Building Regulations approval secured we can't wait to see the finished article!
