Hamilton House was built in the 1970’s and incorporates many features typical of properties of that era. Our clients wanted to update both the interior and exterior of their home, adding extensions to enhance the way it is used and reflect their modern lifestyle.
Solar control glass will be used extensively in the construction of a large dining space and family area which will link directly to a modern kitchen to provide a welcoming open-plan but zoned space in the heart of the home.
A further extension with similar pavilion-styled roof treatment will afford a generous master suite enjoying views over the substantial private grounds and a new frameless glazed entrance portico will greet visitors as they approach the house.
Elevationally the house will be transformed with through-coloured render, smooth fibre cement boarding and high-performance aluminium clad timber windows.
With planning consent secured and our technical design complete it is hoped that a start can be made on site before the end of the year with completion in Spring 2018.
