Mead House Cottage is an attractive detached property in rural West Berkshire. It was built in the early C20 and we were approached to design, tender and oversee the construction of a sympathetic two storey extension using matching reclaimed materials. Together with internal alterations the building work will provide additional living space and a guest suite.
Planning constraints included the location of the property in open countryside and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nevertheless planning permission was secured, competitive tenders were obtained and work is currently on site. Construction has recently been completed.
